People from all different social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds are buried in Evergreen, forming an intercultural cross-section of the early Santa Cruz area community.
Evergreen Cemetery and its records are a valuable resource for people interested in researching family history.
The cemetery is used year-round for self-guided tours and tours led by trained docents for groups of all sizes, ages and interests. In addition, a special guided tour is held every month, focusing on the common threads in the stories of the diverse people buried there.
