Drombeg
The Drombeg site in West Cork is the best known example of megalithic standing stones of the type called Axial Stone
Circles. Located midway between the villages of Rosscarbery and
Glandore, the Drombeg circle is accessible by car and a short
walk. It consists of seventeen standing stones, one of them
recumbent, and is a reminder of Ireland's ancient and mysterious
origins.
