Does the Federal Government Really Believe There Are No Dangerous Bioeffects From EMF Exposure?
"The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer the truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehood and error."

All along, Industry and the Federal Government have insisted that either:
- not enough research has been done on EMF Bioeffects to determine the potential risk, or
- plenty of research has been done to determine that there is no risk.
That these two positions seem to be mutually exclusive appears to have eluded those in charge of
public relations ... what is the source of this ambiguity? Is it accidental? Is it intentional, and if so, why?
The Ambiguity
The terms risk and safe, which are essential to a meaningful dialog on this
issue, have in this context, undiscussed controversial definitions, that is, they have been craftily
re-defined to mean something other than their intended, (dictionay) definition. Safe and risk, as defined
in the dictionary, are absolutes. You are either safe, or you are not safe. You are either at risk,
or you are not at risk.
A good example of disagreement is the NCRP pre-release leak of "recommendations."
This is a group of people working on THE SAME REPORT, who completely disagreed on what the conclusions
should be. Imagine people in different agencies with mutually-exclusive interests, or people in
Industry, with jobs, and the future of whole technologies at stake? (Here I am assuming the leak
originated with someone inside who thought the final recommendations would not be consistant with the data.)
The people who make up the Federal Government do not agree on EMR Bioeffects, so how can the Federal Government appear to be consistent? Here are some contradictory positions taken by various US Government agencies, or agents.
- National Academy of Sciences - National Research Council, report, or press release, -- no danger,
- National Council on Radiation Protection, -- danger -- or maybe not,
- National EMF Advisory Committee, calls for Continued Research on Electric and Magnetic Field Health Effects, -- danger,
"We take this action because, after perusal of the pre-publication NAS/NRC report released October 31, 1996, we conclude that neither the press release nor the Executive Summary of the report adequately reflects the conclusions to be found in the body of the report. ...
Contrary to reports in the popular press. the NAS/NRC report does not state that extremely low magnetic fields are safe.
Rather, the report concludes that there is an unexplained, but statistically reliable and robust association between power transmission and distribution systems and childhood cancer and that continued research is necessary."
Weapons Research
Some of the most incriminating information about what the Federal Government might actually know about EMF
Bioeffects, comes from Weapons Research.
For decades, the Federal Government has funded research into various uses of EMF energy in anti-personnel
applications; both for time of war, and time of peace. Probably the most famous is the CIA's
MKULTRA project, which sought to establish various methodologies for mind-control applications,
using everything from "brainwashing" to "microwaves." Unfortunately, much of the documentation
from MKULTRA was destroyed; allegedly because the CIA was concerned about the public perception
of their research goals, and to maintain proprietary control of all potentially valuable results.
Is it possible that the Federal Government now has precisely the same concern? That if the
real body of evidence was revealed, the nature of the original research -- morally and ethically
degenerate goals -- would be brought to light? This is a disgusting thought,
but not without historical precedent.

Information about MKULTRA and CIA experimentation without consent, at the Department of Energy. An excerpt:
"The CIA program, known principally by the codename MKULTRA, began in 1950 and was
motivated largely in response to alleged Soviet, Chinese, and North Korean uses of mind-control
techniques on U.S. prisoners of war in Korea. Because most of the MKULTRA records were
deliberately destroyed in 1973 by order of then-Director of Central Intelligence Richard Helms, it is
impossible to have a complete understanding of the more than 150 individually funded research
projects sponsored by MKULTRA and the related CIA programs.[77] Central Intelligence Agency
documents suggest that radiation was part of the MKULTRA program and that the agency considered
and explored uses of radiation for these purposes.[78] However, the documents that remain from
MKULTRA, at least as currently brought to light, do not show that the CIA itself carried out any of
these proposals on human subjects."

the forum of the Leading Edge Interational Research Journal and the famous Matrix books. Leading Edge Research Group

"In another document prepared by the government, the U.S. Air Force
claims: 'The potential applications of artificial electromagnetic fields are
wide-ranging and can be used in many military or quasi-military situations...
Some of these potential uses include dealing with terrorist groups, crowd
control, controlling breaches of security at military installations, and
antipersonnel techniques in tactical warfare. In all of these cases the EM
(electromagnetic) systems would be used to produce mild to severe
physiological disruption or perceptual distortion or disorientation. [emphasis mine - ed.] In
addition, the ability of individuals to function could be degraded to such a
point that they would be combat ineffective. Another advantage of
electromagnetic systems is that they can provide coverage over large areas
with a single system. They are silent and countermeasures to them may be
difficult to develop...'" Rhetorical question: Does this sound like they don't know anything about EMF?

Chapter 15 of Dr. Robert Becker's book, The Body Electric.
"The Soviets have led the way in learning about the risks of electropollution, and, as we have seen, they've apparently been the first to harness those dangers for malicious intent. However, the spectrum of potential weapons extends far beyond the limits of the Moscow signal, and Americans have been actively exploring some of them for many years. Most or all of the following EMR effects can be scaled up or down for use against individuals or whole crowds and armies..."
