This is a one-of-a-kind book was calligraphed, illustrated and bound by Donna Thomas using Peter's handmade paper. The text is a poem acknowledging familial closeness within a relation to nature that was written by Donna's brother in honor of her father (whose ashes were spread in the "Silver Sierra." The text and illustrations are glued to paper panels that have been hand stitched to an accordion folded topographic map of that area of the Sierra. This map was one Donna and Gary used when backpacking with their father. The book is full bound in leather with an illustration inset into the front cover. The book is housed in a clamshell box that has the title on a topographic map panel on the front cover.

Note: These are the original illustrations and text that were used to create a limited edition miniature book of the same title. That book was exclusively distributed to family members.
