New Members & Late Renewals

We only provide immediate membership processing at these times: our MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS (3rd Tuesday evening of each month starting at 7:30 in the clubhouse), and on the first Saturday of the month from 10am to noon at the Showgrounds from April through June.

We DO NOT provide instant membership processing at the showgrounds at other times. If you mail in your membership applications: these may take 2-3 weeks from the day we receive it to process and mail you a membership packet, so give yourself adequate time to start your new membership request.

We gets many phone calls requesting expedited memberships. If you request expedited processing, extra charges apply:  $25 to get your membership packet to you in less than 2 weeks, and  $50 to get your membership packet to you in less than 1 week.

Renewing Members

If you are a current member and remit your renewal on time (by March 31) through the mail, you will continue your membership and access to the Showgrounds without interruption.

If you renew late and we receive your membership after April 15, your cardkey may be de-activated and renewing your membership is likely to take 2-3 weeks. So please be timely with your renewal or expect an interruption. Why? - because late renewals create more work for our volunteer staff and it takes longer to process memberships that have lapsed. Late renewals also have a $15 late fee to deter members from causing extra processing.

To Request an SCCHA Membership:

  1. (1) Come to our Membership Meetings (3rd Tuesday evening starting at 7:30 in the clubhouse) to process your membership right on the spot. Alternatively, arrive at the Showgrounds between 10am and noon on the first Saturday of April, May, June, July, August or September to process a membership. Membership Applications can be downloaded and filled out beforehand, or pick one up when you arrive.

OR

  1. (2) Process your membership through the mail. Download an application form from our website and follow directions for providing information, fees required, and mailing to us. Your membership will be complete once you have received your parking sticker and new member cardkey in the mail.

  2. The membership application form is available on-line as a pdf file:  Membership Application. Print both pages, read carefully, and fill out & sign, then mail it to address below along with membership fees.

  1. If you have difficulty downloading or printing this document, you can email our membership secretary, Mary Sullivan-White to request the documents by mail.

  2. Cardkeys for NEW members and Parking Sticker(s) will be sent to you once your membership is processed. Again, this can take up to 2-3 weeks for new memberships.

Brief Membership Information:

Membership Year is April 1 of current year through March 31 of the following year, however, new members signing on between January and March enjoy these months with no extra charge. All Members receive a monthly newsletter and may attend club activities.

Single and Family Memberships have access to use the Showgrounds with their cardkeys. Junior Members have access to the showgrounds when accompanied by adult members. Please read our online Club Information page to learn more about our club and members' responsibilities.

It is the responsibility of each member to know and follow club rules when visiting the showgrounds. Membership privileges can be denied or revoked if rules are not followed. Download Showgrounds Rules: Rules & Guildelines.


Types of Memberships Available:

FAMILY - $180: 2 Votes & Showgrounds Parking Sticker. $40 of will be returned to those members who sign up for and volunteer hours on listed workdays. Requires two members to each volunteer 4 hours or one to volunteer 8 hours. Work Dates are listed on application.

SINGLE - $120: 1 Vote & Showgrounds Parking Sticker. $20 will be returned to those members who sign up for and volunteer 4 hours on listed workdays. Work Dates are listed on application.

JUNIOR - $45: No Vote, Card Key or Parking Sticker. (This membership is for individuals under 18 who are not part of a family membership. Junior members may use Showgrounds when accompanied by adult member.

New Members Only:

Additional $20 fee for cardkey, provides automatic gate entry.  Family memberships have the option to purchase a second cardkey for $10. Limit two cardkeys per Family Membership; one per Single.
