The SCCHA Newsletter is produced monthly for members. It typically contains 8 pages, and includes the latest news concerning club events and local area equestrian happenings. Issues are also available in .pdf format for members opting to view it on line. SCCHA members can email manedance@baymoon.com to request issues in this format.

Every issue contains:
  • Club News including maintenance and development of the grounds
  • Trail news reporting conditions, openings / closings, trail workdays
  • Membership meeting schedule describing activity or guest speaker and topic for the month
  • Fundraising events that promote good horsemanship and help support the club
  • Group trail rides where and when members schedule them
  • Calendar of local events/clinics, including those sponsored by the SCCHA & others area wide
  • Trading Post & Announcements list horses & related items for sale and announcement

Submissions are preferred sent electronically as jpg, doc, or pdf files.
Note: small photos and very small fonts on graphic files do not print well.

DEADLINE : Submissions must be in by the LAST TUESDAY of the month for the following month's issue.

The newsletter accepts commercial ads with the following rates
  • Business card:  $20/mo. or $50/3 mo.
  • 1/4 page ad:  $40/mo.
  • 1/2 page ad:  $80/mo.
  • full page ad:  $140/mo.
Trading Post ads - our club's "classifieds"
  • may contain only horse related items
  • are FREE to members
  • cost non-members $5 to place
  • are non-commercial

Articles & Stories
  • by members, about horses and horse related experiences & activities are welcome
  • will be published as space permits
