Ten and Six meters, Duel Band, Home Made (Sorta), Mobile Antenna.
To make this antenna, I asume that you knowallage how
to adjust an antenna, have a basic mechanicle understanding,
and know how to work safely!

Parts List (all one each):
Idem#, Description...
1) MO-3, 54 inch shaft.
2) RM-10, 10m resonator.
3) RSS-2, Res. Spring.
4) SSM-1, Heavy Duty Ball mount and spring (you may need a HD-er one).
5) QD-2, Quick disconnect.
6a) Coax, preferably. RG-8x, or Equiv.. (Not RG-58, ok if Teflon version) of needed length,
6b) Coax connector, coax type dependent,
6c) Lug connectors, for ball mt (mount).
7) What ever is ur favorite anti corrosion compound, for metal to metal contacts. I like white lithium grease.Directions (Use lithium grease on all metal threads, and metal to metal contacts) :
1) Install Ball mount per directions (considering this assembly is ~6 ft long). See, Word-97, Drawing.
2) Make coax assembly, leave center conductor long (~5 - 6 inches). Install coax, connect to radio, install lugs per ball Mt's directions. However, don't crimp or otherwise make permanent the center conductor connection, it may later need to me lengthened or shortened!
3) Cut MO-3, AT TOP, to make up for the 2 springs and QD-2, to approx. 49 inches, see drawing.
4a) Remaining piece from the top of MO-3, carefully, cut vinyl free from it. Either force keeper pins out or force Stud into shaft to sheer pins, there are two.
4b) Retrieve the remaining piece from the top of MO-3, by cutting aluminum tubing, long wise, to free the stud.
5) On the ~48 - 50 inch long (remaining) piece (MO-3), first deber both pieces, use grease on the to be installed stud, thread nut on stud, to protect threads (I used a hammer). Install Stud. I found that pressure fit works fine.
6) Install antenna, and all pieces...
7) Check SWR at 51, 52, 53, etc. (should be ~3.0 or better, don't try to adjust, yet.)
8) Go to 10m freq's, 29.0, 29.2, 29.69 Mhz, etc., cut RM-10 rod, per directions, to approx. 3 inches (exposed rod, installed length). See myn, hole antenna, 10m Res., top and Res spring, bottom - Lengths ball mt, or main spring). Should be able to adjust to better than 1.5 SWR, at minimum dip point.
9) When SWR is 1.5, or less, from 29.0 to ~30 Mhz, 10M is done.
10) If 6M's SWR isn't ok, shorten/ lengthen coax center wire, see #2, to adjust 6m SWR. You should be able to acheve a SWR of 1.5 SWR, at minimum dip point. Also you canuse 3/8-24, (HAM flee market supplies or Radio Shack, 21-961, etc.), or washers (for fine tunning), to add length.
11) Readjust 10M's, again, if needed.
12) May require, guy, if spring too weak, or use anther spring...
This works great for me, seems to work better than
6m whip on 6m???
