What is ALL MODE? (A basic description)


All Mode:
(HAM Radio), means usually that the radio will have AM (Amplitude Modulation), SSB (Single Side Band), CW (Continuos Wave (on off, keying)), and FM (Frequency Modulation).

(Two-way) This word, has been reused in the, commercial two-way radio, group as; meaning, programmable bandwith (capable) of 5khz and/or 2.5 khz FM bandwith/deviation.
 
 

What is NBFM?

NBFM:
(HAM Radio), means 5 Khz deviation (10 Khz-pp), 15 Khz channel spacing, minimum.

(Two-way) Commercial group, 2.5 Khz deviation (5 Khz-pp), 7.5 Khz channel spacing, minimum.
