On November 13, 1999, the 2nd annual Beatles Blowout was held at St. Lucy's Church and School in Campbell California. Over 100 people turned out for food, fun, prizes, and several hours of live Beatles music by The Ravelers.

Once again, after the main sets, we had a jam,. Various guests joined us onstage, including a teenage boy who sang and played lead guitar on Long Tall Sally, and two women and a little girl who sang together on Can't Buy Me Love.
For the 1998 Beatles Blowout, we called ourselves Yellow Matter Custard. For the 1999 Blowout, we considered calling ourselves The Butchered Covers- Hence the smocks. As the date for the show neared, Rich had a great idea: raffle off a CD of songs we had recorded ourselves. When the artwork for the CD was being created, the CD ended up being called The Ravelers- Plenty of Jam Jars (inspired by the 1967 Xmas message). Below is an image of the cover, designed by the wonderful Sylvia Min.
